Tim Grover, the fitness specialist used by Michael Jordan and many elite NBA players, shares his philosophy in Relentless. He is describing the three things he asks of every player: "I don't care how much you can lift, how fast you can run, how many pull-ups you can do, or whether you can hit a three while blindfolded. There are only three things I ask of every client... Show up, work hard, and listen. That's it. It requires no talent, no special genetics, or any skill whatsoever to show up, work hard, and listen.”

He adds: "When I train my athletes, it's a dictatorship with three rules: show up, work hard, and listen. If you can do those three things, I can help you. If you can't we have no use for each other. I will bust my ass for you every way possible, but I expect you to do the same for yourself. I'm not going to work harder than you do for your benefit. Show me you want it, and I'll give it to you.”

At Physical TheraPT, we look for the same drive in our patients. We specialize in movement and running analysis, elite level sports performance, reconditioning and athletic development, and complex injury management. While each patient is given a unique protocol based on their history and goals, our treatment flow remains relatively consistent:

Each patient is seen one-on-one for 60 minute sessions with one of our licensed professionals. While we all work as a team, we encourage you to be as consistent as possible with one provider to minimize repetition.

We like to “front-load” your treatment, seeing you on a weekly basis in the beginning. This creates a teamwork approach, increasing accountability with your home exercise program, and allows us to closely monitor your progress. These first appointments are crucial to getting you out of pain, promote tissue healing, and re-enforcing the new neuromuscular patterns we’re teaching.

Depending on your motivation style, you’ll either progress to less frequent appointments as you return to independent fitness or begin a more rigorous strengthening routine with Nina Szemis or a provider from our trusted referral networks.

Maintenance is key- physical therapy is the new preventative care! Think of your re-evaluation like you would your semi-annual dentist appointment. Your physical therapist or athletic trainer can help identify breakdowns in movement before they become bigger aches and pains.

We’re here to help you reach your recovery goals through one-on-one physical therapy and athletic training care!
